Jon is an accomplished former senior Naval officer with a career in aviation. Jon specialises in providing strategy formulation, aviation and uncrewed air systems expertise and risk and safety management in the Defence, Security and Aerospace sectors. He led a major fighting arm of UK Defence: people, military helicopters and Army uncrewed systems, delivering reform and capability expansion while growing organisational confidence and professionalism. Continually and successfully, he delivered and deployed operational units under severe resource and time pressures, while also leading 8,500 Army, Navy, and Air Force personnel in a complex tri-service organisation. Jon introduced the Watchkeeper WK450 drone system into frontline service in the Army. 

He is well-known for inspiring leadership and delivering consistent, world-class results in highly demanding, regulated environments and in complex, diverse organisations. Jon is highly experienced and adept at complex programme delivery in terms of technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, influencing and change delivery. 

Jon led the Safety and Culture Change workstreams for the UK Police BVLOS Pathway Programme from 2022-2024.
